No. The capsules are odorless and tasteless; you simply swallow them with water. If you open the capsule and stir the powder into food, you'll hardly taste anything in small amounts, especially in spicy dishes.
How many capsules should I take per day?
The daily dose is 8 capsules of 400 mg eachThis is equivalent to 3.2 g of freeze-dried beef kidney. Best consumed with a meal or spread throughout the day. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Can I open the capsules and stir in the powder?
Yes. Simply twist open the container and add the powder to ground meat, stews, soups, or sauces. Important for kidney health: avoid excessive heat if you want to ensure adequate DAO intake, as the enzyme is heat-sensitive.

What is DAO and what does it have to do with the kidney?
DAO (diamine oxidase) is the body's own enzyme that breaks down histamine. The kidney is the organ with the naturally highest DAO content. Our capsules contain whole, freeze-dried bovine kidney, thus providing the DAO in its natural environment rather than as an isolated extract.
Is beef kidney a good option for people with histamine intolerance?
