Everything you need to know about your testosterone level.
How testosterone is formed
Testosterone is formed for the most part in the testicles. There specialised Leydig cells build the hormone from cholesterol. The process is controlled by a fine signalling system between the brain and the testicles. For everything to run smoothly, the body needs certain building blocks. Zinc acts as a cofactor at several steps of testosterone formation and contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood.
Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood. Approved health claim in accordance with Reg. (EU) No 432/2012.
What pushes the testosterone level down
The testosterone level reacts sensitively to lifestyle. Lasting stress, too little sleep and too little movement take their toll. Excess weight, a lot of alcohol and a one-sided, heavily processed diet also strain the hormone balance. If the body additionally lacks important nutrients such as zinc, it lacks exactly the building blocks it needs for a normal level.
- Chronic stress and permanently high cortisol
- Too little and poor sleep
- Lack of movement and excess weight
- A lot of alcohol
- Heavily processed diet
- A deficiency of zinc and other nutrients
How you support it naturally
The body can regulate a lot on its own when the basics are right. Good sleep, regular strength training and less stress form the foundation. On top of that come healthy fats as raw material and micronutrients as tools. This is exactly where our products come in. Grass fed beef testicles, oysters and beef heart naturally deliver zinc, selenium and vitamin B12 in concentrated form and give your body the building blocks it needs for a normal testosterone level.
- Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood.
Why artificial testosterone is risky
Artificially supplied testosterone works completely differently. The body recognises the hormone from outside and shuts down its own production. Over time the testicles can shrink and fertility suffers, up to a heavily reduced or completely absent sperm production. Such hormone therapy is a medical intervention and belongs exclusively in the hands of a doctor. We deliberately take the natural route and give the body what it needs anyway, instead of intervening in its control loops from outside.
- The body’s own production is shut down
- The testicles can shrink over time
- Fertility can suffer badly
- Only justifiable under medical supervision

What are Beef Testicles and why do men eat them?
Beef Testicles are capsules of freeze dried beef testicles, beef heart and oyster extract. They belong to nose-to-tail eating, in which the whole animal is deliberately used. In many traditional cultures organs such as testicles were a firm part of the male diet. We make this original food practical for everyday life in capsule form.
