Omega-3 capsules consist of natural fish oil-not a concentrate-with a fatty acid complex of over 50 fatty acids.

The extraction and purification of the fish oil takes place gently and preserves the natural fatty acid structure of the fish. The difference between a natural fish oil and a concentrate is that for concentrates, the natural fatty acid structure of the fish oil is changed by various chemical processes in order to artificially concentrate the omega-3 fatty acids higher. As of now, little is known about how the (processed) concentrated fish oil behaves in the body after consumption. The intake of a non-concentrated natural fish oil, as contained in the Omega-3 capsules, is similar to the effect of fish consumption and is therefore recommended.

• The marine omega-3 fatty acids, EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexanoic acid), are important for our health and a balanced omega-6/3 ratio because, among other things, they regulate silent inflammation in the body. But what exactly does that mean? EPA helps maintain normal blood pressure levels and blood lipid levels, as well as this marine fatty acid supports healthy heart function. DHA supports brain function as well as brain development and also the maintenance of normal vision. In most vegetable omega-3 oils/capsules, these marine omega-3 fatty acids are not found, only the vegetable omega-3 fatty acid ALA (alpha-linolenic acid). Of the vegetable oils, for example, linseed oil contains a particularly large amount of ALA.
